Immigrant youths explore identity school
My article was research on how immigrant teens refer to call themselves such as Mexican American or Asian American rather than Mexican or Asian. Research also shows if their parents were foreign-born and the child was born in America that they usually refer to themselves as Chinese or Mexican or Asian.

I agree of what you said because they actually dont know what to call themselves anymore cause of what america is becoming into. and their scared if they call themselves the worng name then people of America will send them back.
I believe that the reason they still refer to themselves as their own race would have to be because of the parents. They have so much that they want to stay and live a better life.

I agree I grew up in a city where I hear it all the time. They like to call them selves mexican or whatever their race is to take pride in it.
