“Me, Myself, and I”

I grew up watching my big brothers go through the fads. In a big truck from morning until night

Worked my dad, While Mom stayed home making sure we all had. Muhammed Ali was pretty

Rad.. fun at school, fun at home I thought was all I had. A man named Sugar Ray Leonard

Became the fastest in the ring, the first breaths of my sons would change the way I’d sing.

O. J. Simpson was on the news playing his last card, that’s about the time I started walking the

Yard. A couple of wrong turns and I got lost, I still remember how much it cost. High School

Was fun going out to the prom, I still have the pictures of Me and my sons mom. My favorite

Brother was always “Mike,” He even taught me how to ride a bike. The choices I make aren’t

Right, the wardens ship was ran very tight. My Dad was the best friend I had, watching him take

His last breath made me very sad. I remember looking out my cell, wondering just how I ended

Up in this hell. Searching and searching my heart all day, Until I decided to pray. My sons have

Grown up so big today, I hope they don’t go that way. Today my heart is filled with joy, I’m like

Kid with a toy. I’m excited to see what life will bring, now that God has taught me how to sing
