Narrative Essay Definition

When an author writes a narrative essay he or she is telling a story. The stories main point can be found in the opening sentence or in the last sentence of the opening paragraph. Narrative essays are told usually form the authors define point of view, so it contains felling and sensory details that get the reader interested in the story. People write these essays to talk about real life experiences experienced by them or by someone else. In addition to telling a story the essay can often state lessons or ideas learned.
